Priest Lake is one of the most incredible spots on the earth. I feel blessed to call this area home.
Priest lake, otherwise known as the “Crown Jewel” of North Idaho, is located in the northern most portion of the Idaho Panhandle. It’s convenient location is only 80 miles north of Spokane, WA and the international airport and the northern end of the lake is within 15 miles of the Canadian border. On the other side of the Eastern mountains is a world class ski resort.
The main section of the Priest lake is 19 miles long and over 300 feet deep with a bonus. The Upper Priest is connected by a 2.5 mile thoroughfare and leads to a magical mini lake in which you can see the mountain tops of Canada. Priest lake has an elevation of 2,500ft and has 4 perfect seasons. Priest lake is surrounded by 80 miles of shoreline with sandy beaches and has 7 perfect islands which are destination landmarks. The lake itself lies in the Selkirk Mountain Range, an offset of the Rockies, which rise above the east shore to 7,656ft.
This is a wonderful place to live in any season. This ideal year-round family and adventure vacation spot will leave a lasting impression for generations to come. You’ll discover great boating, fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, snowmobiling, and much more at Priest Lake.
Priest Lake has 3 areas located around it, Nordman, Coolin and Priest lake. The Northern area of the west side is Nordman and the east side of the lake is considered Coolin. The majority of the east side is owned by the State of Idaho and have the State leases, while the westside has mainly deeded or Federally owned land on it.
Please don't hesitate to call us with any questions you might have about the differences.
